Parallax Error by Cyril Wong

In a quieter universe, time is made up

conversations with unamputated

trees, itinerant rain, cats

without masters, nobody getting

high on dopamine-

fuelled convictions

and the air you breathe out

will be the sweetness I inhale.

Cyril Wong is a poet and fictionist in Singapore. His last publication was Infinity Diary, published by Seagull Books in 2020.
