Cool Cosmic Concert by Sharon Waller Knutson
Sister sun sings soul
like Aretha and Tina
and the sky blares
the blues like BB.
The moon mouths
the Bee Gees at the disco
as the North Star blinks
and the Little Bear boogies.
At the Constellation Calypso,
the hunting dogs, great
dog and lesser dog
bellow Belafonte.
Rocking to the rhythm,
the Big Dipper bops
and Polaris performs
like Holly as he hangs
onto the handle
of the Little Dipper
while the Great Bear
binges on beer at the bar.
