Winter Full Moon by Sharon Waller Knutson

nibbling on fruitcake,

while the countryside
sleeps beneath a soft
marshmallow crème frosting.
When the sky’s appetite is satisfied
it melts into mouthwatering
coconut crème chocolate
and then swirls into strawberry
parfait before the apricot marmalade
sun is spread on blueberry toast.
