Twilight by JLF Maikaho

Through the Isles of perdition
And the abyss of loss
Through the dark days of confusion
And the twilights of dusk

Though I traverse the multiverse
An ardent seeker of Ambrosia
Let not my soul depart from Shamayim

Even if it's the last part of me
Holding unto, a piece of your shadow

Ambrosia: (Greek mythology) The food or drink of the gods, said to confer immortality
Shamayim: The Hebrew word for heaven

JLF Maikaho is a nocturnal empath whose life revolves around writing, mysticism, rain, Aljazeera and dogs; with regular bouts of ennui. Her works explore diverse themes, have appeared in Caritas Newspaper and are forthcoming in Poetry Pacific. She writes from Gombe, Nigeria.
