The Encounter by Peycho Kanev

Walking in a dark and

dense forest, I reached

a sunlit spot and tiny creek

was running there and

a reindeer was drinking

from it with a bowed head.

Then he stood up,

looked at me and it was like

some secret agreement

passed between us.

We stayed like this

for a while. I’m not sure

exactly how long. Nature

has different kind of clocks.

Then we turned our backs

to each other and

we both started looking

for some other miracle

we could enjoy.
