Pages by Christian Garduno

You said you’d always stay

but I remember you packing up and and leaving

We promised we’d never lie

but I was the only one left believing

I woke up one morning & you were a stranger

but what was even stranger

is how familiar you looked

like someone re-arranged all the pages

in your book

You said you’d always be my soft landing

but when I finally went to fall

dear, you were nowhere near

and I was the only one left standing

I woke up one morning & you were a stranger

but what was even stranger

is how familiar you looked

like someone re-arranged all the pages

of your book
