If the Universe Were As Vast by John Tustin

If the universe were as vast

As the glad imagination of

A five year old boy drawing

Dinosaurs at his kitchen table

In a second floor apartment

In the winter of nineteen and

Seventy six

Then maybe we will just find

Some intelligent life out there

After all.

John Tustin’s poetry has appeared in many disparate literary journals since 2009. fritzware.com/johntustinpoetry contains links to his published poetry online.
