Hearing Unseen Things by Luis Berriozabal

I stood in awe

hearing unseen things;

the wind spoke, hissed,

and scratched my door.

I grew frightened

that the wind would blow

through the locked door

and carry me off.

Outside in the pepper

tree the birds

sang and sang.
