A Raven by Mark A. Fisher

perches on the streetlight pole

looking down and mocking me

attached to the ground as I am

he’s unable to walk that mile in mine

as I am to soar the winds as him

suffering each our own self-importance

our alien worlds overlapping

right in my front yard
