Barbara Spring is a lake watcher; served on many committees for the improvement of the Great Lakes; was a correspondent for the Grand Rapids Press; taught in public schools and at Grand Valley State University: author of The Dynamic Great Lakes, The Wilderness Within, Sophia’s Lost and Found, and Between Sweetwater and Sand.
